Introductory Memo
Modern warfare is increasingly defined by a bold combination of information superiority and firepower. The ability to detect threats early on, track them continuously, and respond before an adversary can act has become central to national security. Against this backdrop, India's indigenous NETRA Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system receiving Final Operational Clearance represents a significant step towards strengthening India's surveillance architecture, enhancing air defence preparedness, and reducing dependence on foreign military technologies, along with a technical milestone.
