The media reports on the recent raids by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) suggest that the Maoists in India might have been receiving foreign funds too. Funding is just one type of support. Often, one comes across foreign media reports in which some or the other organisation or individual calls the Maoist links accused from India as ‘defenders of human rights’ or simply ‘activists’.
